AgriCheck Plus Dual-Optics NIR Grain & Flour Analyzer
High-Precision Transmission & Reflectance NIR Instrument
The Bruins Instruments AgriCheck Plus is designed to measure all kinds of whole grain and oilseeds such as wheat, durum, barley, corn, soybeans, brown rice, milled rice, rough rice, oats, rye, triticale, and others. Unlike the AgriCheck, which only measures products via the transmission analysis method, the AgriCheck Plus also has a reflectance cell, which is the best sampling mode to analyze ground products or pastes.
This combination of transmission and reflectance measurement channels makes AgriCheck Plus the industry’s most unique and versatile NIR instrument dedicated to the analysis of whole grains and their derivatives.
Features
- High precision, linear monochromator provides reliable measurements
- Intuitive software and a large touchscreen makes the analyzer easy to use
- Optional Test Weight module determines the specific weight of the grain
Benefits
- High accuracy and trusted results allow for quick adoption of the instrument
- Intuitive and easy to use means less time training staff to use the analyzer
- Global calibrations for major quality parameters allow plug & play operation for a wide variety of grains
- Proven monochromator design with decades of success across thousands of installations worldwide
Applications
The AgriCheck Plus includes an additional rotating reflectance dish on top of the instrument and a reflectance detector (spectral range of 1400-2500 nm) for optimal measurements of powdered, granular, and paste sample types. Incorporating both transmission and reflectance measurements makes AgriCheck Plus the ideal solution for mills and processing facilities for analyzing both incoming whole grains and ground processed products.
Products measured in reflectance using the AgriCheck Plus include:
- Flour
- Wheat bran
- Soybean meal
- Soybean cake
- Sunflower meal
- Sunflower

- Different feeds, and many other sample types
How It Works
The AgriCheck Plus is an easy-to-use instrument with minimal operator training required. The operator simply selects the product to analyze using the touchscreen and fills the sample into the funnel or the reflectance cell. Once the analysis is complete, the measurement data is displayed directly on the screen for the user.
System Components
The AgriCheck Plus analyzers The AgriCheck series analyzers come with a unique path length for the standard transmission sample wheel for barley, oats, rye, wheat, durum, rice, soybeans, and corn.
Installation
Calibrations
AgriCheck calibrations have been developed from years of samples collected from many geographical regions. These calibrations provide reliable measurements out-of-the-box across most sample types.
The AgriCheck calibrations are available for a wide variety of parameters, depending on the product:
- Moisture
- Protein
- Oil
- Starch
- Fiber
- Gluten
- Zeleny
- Ash
- Amylose
- FFA and more
Accessories
The AgriCheck Plus can include additional options for measuring wet or small sample types as well as test weight and temperature:
- Sample cups with a path length of 25 mm or a combination of 7/18 mm path lengths. These are used for wet grains, small grains, or small sample sizes.
- Test Weight – optional accessory to determine the specific weight of the grain. The value is automatically added to the test report.
- Temperature – optional accessory to measure the temperature of the grain. This value is automatically incorporated into the final test report.
Software
The graphical software and a large touchscreen make the AgriCheck analyzer easy to use. The operator simply selects the product and fills the grain into the funnel or puts the powder or paste sample in a sample cup at the top of the machine. The results are displayed on the screen and can be sent to an optional printer.
